OCF Proposal
LevityZen Labyrinth proposal for Xavandu Meadow July 2026
Version 1. Level mowed grass/ground (limited ground surface modifications)
-with temporary playfield ground paint for defining labyrinth walking lanes
- Set up one week before fair
- Strawbale perimeter for defining labyrinth and Xavandu seating. 69' diameter
- Batik - Tye-dye cotton banners and swaths walls inserted into haybales around perimeter, at entrance, and at key turn points in the labyrinth
- Entrance signing to encourage laughter while walking this labyrinth, with a short explanation of labyrinths used for meditation.

Version 2. Mowed High/low grass walking lanes
- Set up can start late spring with mowing of the walking paths to establish high-low sections of natural meadow grass.
- Added playfield ground paint where needed, if grass is limited or not tall.
- Strawbale perimeter for defining labyrinth and Xavandu seating. At least 69' diameter.
- Batik - Tye-dye cotton banners and swaths walls inserted into strawbales around perimeter, at entrance and at key turn points in the labyrinth
- Entrance signing to encourage laughter while walking this labyrinth, with a short explanation of labyrinths used for meditation.

This labyrinth above is similar to the "Man-in-the-Maze" labyrinth design from the Tohono O'odham Nation.
This is a great design for laughter and walking. It, or a classical two path design custom for Oregon Country Fair will be used.
The design needs to allow many people to easily flow through, with easy ways to exit.
Below is my butterfly two path design that could be modified for OCF Xavadu 2026 LevityZen Labyrinth.
Or, I could even design a labyrinth within the shape of the OCF peach!
